Relato de Experiência de Ensino de IHC

This paper aims at presenting a personal experience in teaching the HCI course at the Computer Science Department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. The course syllabus, how theory and practice are integrated in the course, and the experience to integrate the course work and the Evaluation Competition category available at the Brazilian Symposium of Human Factors in Computing Systems from 2006 to 2012 and how students are evaluated are presented. The work does not intend to generate guidelines to HCI education, but rather contribute to the reflection of other professors teaching the course.
